Russia says pays $65.6 mln coupon on 2029 Eurobonds

MOSCOW, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian Finance Ministry has paid a U.S. $65.6 million coupon on the 2029 Eurobonds, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Thus, the servicing obligation on the state securities of the Russian Federation were met by the Finance Ministry fully and in accordance with the emission documents for the Eurobond issues," the statement read.

The National Settlement Depository received the funds to pay the coupon on Monday. The issue was sold in March 2028 at 4.375% annually.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said earlier that the Russian Eurobond issues have carried a condition of repayment in rubles at the central bank exchange rate on the day of payment since 2018.
